Self Guided Drive Tours

There are numerous scenic drives to explore the Riverland area which include places to enjoy the local produce, wineries, breweries, country pubs, as well as beautiful scenery,  The  BOG Committee has come up with 4 Self Drive Tours to get you started, for you to explore the region during the Muster.

Murtho Park and Border Cliffs Drive  

A 60km drive to Border Cliffs to view the spectacular red cliffs on the Murray River, with points of interest along the way including the Paringa Silo Art, Headings Cliff Lookout, and Wilkadene Woolshed Brewery for a range of award winning craft beers and local produce to create your own platter. (Brewery is closed Monday & Tuesday)

Moorook

A short 23km trip to the small township of Moorook, and the picturesque River Reserve.  Dinner is available at the Community Club Thursday to Saturday.

Lake Bonney & OverLand Corner

This is a short trip, 26 km to Overland Corner, via Lake Bonney for a coffee & food stop, with lunch available at the historic Overland Corner Hotel (closed Monday & Tuesday)

Riverland Wine Centre & Pike River

A 23km drive to the Riverland Wine Centre via the Lyrup Ferry crossing.

Come and explore the regions wineries that make the Riverland such a vibrant part of South Australia’s wine industry. Hosting over 30 different Riverland wineries, the Wine Centre’s interactive storyboards take you through the journey of each winery and help whet your appetite to both taste and discover just a little more. Local produce on offer at the cafe (bookings essential).
