The following Excursions are scheduled during the Riverlands BOG Muster. Please register your interest to attend on the clipboards in the Pavilon when you register for the Muster (on arrival).

Loxton Historical Village – Wednesday 1st October

The Loxton historical Village tells the stories of the region’s early settlers and their families, displayed in over 45 recreated buildings and exhibits on the banks of the mighty Murray River. All buildings and displays have been relocated or built on site, with most replicating original constructions from Loxton’s pioneering years.

The BOG committee has arranged a tour followed by Devonshire Tea.

09:30am – 11:30am – Entry and Morning Tea at Loxton Historic Village, cost is $8 entry and $8 for morning tea. Visit Website. Download Village Map.
11:30am – 05:00pm – self drive explore tours for you to conduct at your leisure.

Self Drive Tours

There are numerous scenic drives to explore the Riverland area which include places to enjoy the local produce, wineries, breweries, country pubs, as well as beautiful scenery, The BOG Committee has come up with 4 Self Drive Tours to get you started, for you to explore the region during the Muster.

River Cruise – Friday 3rd October

A 2hr cruise on a traditional paddle steamer to witness life on the Murray River.

Step back in time aboard P S Industry – an authentic steam powered work boat commissioned in 1911. On the 2 hour scenic cruise passengers will see wildlife consisting of waterfowl and even a koala or two as you pass between majestic rivergums and cliffs.

There is a limit of 60 passengers per cruise, so it will be important to book and pay early to ensure your seat.

Location 84 Murray Ave Renmark (behind Visitor Info Centre) please arrive 30 minutes before departure.
